Director/Owner of Photography Tours
Alfonso Calero is an award-winning photographer with over 20 years’ commercial photography experience. Born and raised in the Philippines, Alfonso moved to Australia when he was 15.
Alfonso, leads photography tours at home, and overseas, specialising in travel photography, street portraits, rural landscapes and urban night-scapes. Fluent in Japanese, Spanish and Filipino. Country Specialist in the Philippines, Spain, Australia, Japan and the Faroe Islands.

HISTORY
Director/Owner Photographer Alfonso Calero started Australian Photography Tours in 2008 with the aim of teaching locals and tourists travel photography.
ABOUT Photo Tours
Located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Tasmania all of my staff and myself deliver regular Saturday afternoon or night photography walks/courses to suit all levels of experience. Private lessons also available for groups or individuals.
Using the outdoor classroom as our learning environment we explore the technical capabilities of your camera to capture some creative ideas.
Choose from a Smartphone (iphone or android) or DSLR/Mirror-Less Camera Course. If you are really keen you can join me, Alfonso on one of my photo tours in Tasmania, The Philippines, Japan, Spain or the Faroe Islands.

Ritsuko
Born and raised in Tokyo. Married to Alfonso for 29 years. Admin Assistant/researcher for the company as well as Japan Photography Tours' assistant/interpreter aka "Sheepdog," always watching our customers' safety during the busy photo shoots.
Aside from this work, she is an education tour guide in Sydney. Ritsuko has been running excursion programs to teach Australian school children history and archaeology for 15 years.
She is also a Sumi-e (Japanese ink painting) artist and a qualified origami instructor. Loves mobile photography and editing.
Photo Tutors
All my staff and myself are passionate about passing on our technical and creative ideas to help and inspire our love for travel photography.

Johnny
Self taught landscape photographer specialising in Landscape Photography. Over time he has expanded and started travelling and exploring more varied landscapes in New Zealand, Patagonia and Iceland. Also a specialist in Astrophotography, Waterfalls, Mountains, Drone and Cityscapes at night.

An advertising, editorial and commercial photographer based in Sydney, Australia. He has worked with a wide range of clients but would describe himself as a lifestyle, people, food, travel and occasional art photographer.
Melbourne -
Paul
Based in Melbourne, Paul has over twenty years working as a photographer. His work encompasses musicians, portraits, lifestyle, food, still life, interiors and architecture. Paul's work has been widely published both locally and internationally.
Alfonso has also partnered with Paul for the Uluru to Alice springs Photo Tour.
Belle - Melbourne
Belle is a Melbourne based photographer, with an Advanced Diploma of Photography from PSC (Photography Studies College).
Specialising in social documentaries with a focus on history, community and portraits, Belle loves to share her passion for human interaction especially while teaching.
Melbourne - Luke
Luke is an award-winning Melbourne based photographer specialising in travel, landscapes, urbanscapes, and business photography. Luke’s passion is to communicate stories through photography, to ask questions and to take the viewer on a journey.
Tania - Melbourne
Tania is a Melbourne based photographer who's diverse and simplistic style has enabled her to capture Weddings, performances, beautiful landscapes and timeless portraits.
She enjoys the challenge of every photoshoot and is constantly in search of images that either tell a story or evoke emotion for the viewer.
Adelaide - Sarah
Sarah has been photographing for over 20 years, as an advertising, editorial, and content photographer in Adelaide and Melbourne. She is a multi award winning photographer. As a photo tutor she is passionate about passing on her knowledge in a personable and fun manner.

Brisbane based commercial photographer specialising in event, portrait and wedding photography with a Bachelor Degree in Photography from Griffith University in Southbank, Brisbane.

Jaime
Madrid based lifestyle photographer with over 30 years experience. Specialising in food, interiors, portraits and travel related imagery. Jaime is Alfonso’s cousin which makes for the perfect travel companion.
Fremantle,
Peter
Peter combines his freelance photographic work with teaching photography part time at his studio at the J Shed. His interests are fine art landscape photography and alternative cityscape art photography. He is also very interested in history and is currently researching and exploring the family’s Croatian heritage through the medium of photography. I love to pass on my passion in Fremantle my hometown.
