Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Launceston Airport morning arrival to Launceston City for a brief look before we head out to Arthurs Lake after lunch followed by a an afternoon shoot at Arthur Lake. If the evening is clear we may come back after dinner for some astrophotography.
Day 2 - At dawn for a sunrise shoot once again at Arthurs Lake. After breakfast a leisurely drive to Strahan.
DAY 2: Strahan is a 3 hour drive from Arthur Lake for Lunch in Queenstown followed by an afternoon shoot at a waterfall and finishing off with a spectacular sunset if we are lucky with the weather. If the night sky is clear we may even snag a few stars.
Day 3 - After breakfast we have a short drive to Corinna. A car barge will take us across the Pieman River to our home for the next two nights. There are various walks and drives nearby to waterfalls and ancient trees.
Day 4 - Pieman River Cruise for an extra fee ($90) we will cruise for 4 hours up the river to the ocean (lunch included). Along the river we will see a plethora of tree species in the heritage listed rainforest of the Tarkine.
Day 5, 6 & 7 - From Corinna after breakfast we will head to the rugged windswept Tarkine coast to explore the jagged rocks and salt bush grass hills that are dotted around Arthur River. A cluster of sea stacks are only a short drive to areas such as Couta Rocks and Sarah Anne Rocks. If we are lucky with clear skies we may be able to shoot some astrophotography timed perfectly for a new moon and some milky way action.
